According to Gospel accounts of the crucifixion, Christ, knowing all had been accomplished according to
God’s Word said, “It is finished!” He then bowed His head and gave up His spirit. (Jn. 19:28-30) Among
other things, this passage highlights the preciseness of God’s strategic planning. This exact moment had
been purposefully planned and executed from eternity. This is only one example showing that God has a
strategic plan that He is sovereignly carrying out through the ages. Knowing this brings so much comfort
and purpose to our lives!
We do not have the eternal perspective to strategically envision a plan nor do we have the authority and
power to carry it out with precision. However, we do have a strategic plan. We started putting that
together back at the outset and have worked on it through the years.
Our strategic plan serves as a compass to keep us aligned with the purpose and mission of… existing as
a tangible Gospel witness, so that people who have migrated to the US, may find God, and so that
local churches, in the US, may be blessed by showing God’s love to others. This will be done by staff
and volunteers who provide accessible legal immigration counsel and application guidance. This is why
we exist!
Our strategy included planning for the time when a new Executive Director will continue providing
administrative leadership for IH-M. On August 24, 2026 the IH-M board posted the job opening. Our goal
is to have a new director selected and established by May 2027.Please join us in prayer for the Lord’s clear
direction in finding a new executive director.
